2 — Coverage needed per shift, per day of the month
Set how many staff are needed for each shift, on each specific date — flight schedules vary day to day, so these numbers can differ across the month. The engine fills each shift to the number set here for that exact date. These are saved per department.
2a — Printed roster header
“Printed On” is stamped automatically when you press Print. These details are remembered on this device.
2b — Gender mix per shift (optional)
Set the minimum males and females wanted on each shift, every day that shift is needed. Any remaining slots (total needed minus M minus F) are filled by whoever is next fairest. Leave at 0 for no requirement. Agents need M or F recorded under Manage agents.

3 — Generated roster (click any working cell to override manually)
Every agent's hours are tracked in the same continuous run of 7-day blocks — not the calendar week, and not tied to any individual's hire date. A block that starts near the end of one month and finishes early in the next is counted once, in full, in the month it finishes — nothing resets at month-end and nothing is double-counted. This needs the previous month's roster saved in the database to calculate the first few days of a new month correctly; if it isn't saved yet, those boundary days are treated as 0 hours and overtime for that first week may be understated.
